Mickey Mouse was originally going to be named "Mortimer", but Walt Disney's wife thought the name was too fancy. So they named him Mickey. The alternate name has later been used for another character, who is Mickey's arch-enemy. Guil Cat Lewis 20:00, July 13, 2015 (UTC)
